Whats mind blowing is this was recorded in Tom Shultz basement and release in 1976. He worked for MIT and the government on some unknown level. Since there were only 8 track recording consoles at that time the production and seperation and layers of vocals and intruments is nothing short of astonishing. Truly a masterpiece in every way 💯

Alot better than Nirvana but they hit first with Teen spirit but AIC wasnt gtrunge but straight up rock from the grunge capital Seattle. Also groups like Heart, Jimmy Hendrix from Seattle. Sad story for the band over all but esrly 90s .

The one and only Neil Peart. This is from their 1980 album Moving Pictures. I heard that and played it front to back at 13 in 1980. I have drummed 46 years and was in a band for 26. I saw them twice at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton Va.

I saw Charlie, he was the opening act for the group Alabama. Charlie was such a presence. His voice was powerful and resinated throughout the stadium, plus his fiddle playing was superb! He ended his set with this song. Afterward, when Alabama came out, they sounded like chipmunks in comparrison, and it was commical! Everyone was like, "What the heck?" It definately should have been Alabama opening for Charlie! He was a true, dynamic force!

This is my favorite guitar solo(both) ever. It doesn’t need to be blistering fast. The soul in these solos make you feel it your very being.

I have seen TOOL 3 times and APC once. When I saw APC Maynard was singing from the backside of the stage, and he eventually came out through smoke wearing his Pucifer outfit (blond wig mustache blue suit) 🤣🤣🤣 it was so wild. Love the hell out of him and ALL his fellow band mates. He and his friends are incredible.

Surprising what most people miss is that drumming/ticking intro. That is supposed to represent the time you spend in your mother's womb. Her heartbeat, the outside noises muffled so it all just bumps and bangs and then you become aware of your life, aware of time....the ticking clock starts for you.

Pearl Jam X one of the best ever albums. And grunge with a whole bunch of bands who became favorites of me . And not Nirvana strangely enough .But Soundgarden , Alice in Chains and most of all PJ.All 3 had brilliant singers .Lane Staley and Chris Cornell( as Kurt Cobain btw ) re dead now .As was the singer of Mudhoney.Seattle must be a depressing city. Buy their inherentance lives on .A handful classic lbuEddie Vedder still lives and I hope for a long time ,Grunge was great music .Classical music forever . They now sing together. In a band with Hensrix on guitar and JS Bach on piano.John Coltrane and Miles Davis on horns .I'd pay for that band .
